For Example

You take the url of this post:

http://www.echelonmedia.com/sms-how-to-track-social-media-traffic-to-your-website/

and shorten it using http://bit.ly to this:

http://bit.ly/ccnOO3

To easily track the shortened URL that you created simply add the + symbol to the end of any bit.ly url and hit enter:  such as:

http://bit.ly/ccnOO3+

Then grow what works and scuttle the rest. Happy hunting!
